INFORMATION - Mahè
Mahè is the largest of the rock-like island that make up the Seychelles and cove a surface area of 152 sq km. It is 27 km in lemgth and 8 km wide and it is inhabited by 90% of the entire Seychelles population. Victoria, the capital, is the commercial and administrative centre. Mahè is covered by dense and luxuriant tropical vegetation which include trees such as the coconut palm, mango, banana and breadfruit trees. The highest mountain is the Morne (903 mt). There are numerous beaches with a mixture of extraordinary white sand and rocky masses.

Victoria is a typical lively Creole town, a melting pot of different races and cultures. Its tourist and commercial harbors are used by a constant traffic of boats, ferries, yachts and transport and cruise ships, from every part of the world. The market is characteristic and offer local products, fish of every kind, fruit and vegetables as well as a great assortment of spices, much used in Creole cooking.

Clock Tower
It stands at the heart of Victoria and was built in 1903 to commemorate independence between Seychelles and Mauritius and is often comparate to the Big Ben Clock tower of the House of Parliament in London.
Museum of Natural History
Independence Avenue - Victoria (Stone of possession dated 1756, documents, acts, old maps, historical photos, shells and various collections).
Central of Immaculate Conception
Oliver Maradan Street - Victoria. This Roman Catholic Chatedral is the last impressive vestige of French colonial days.
Capucine House
Residence of the Roman Catholic bishop, it is an impressive colonial-style building, not open to the public, but well-worth an external glimpse.
National Culture Centre
Fiennes Parade - Victoria (National Library, National Art Gallery, National Archives).
National Museum of History
State House Avenue - Victoria. The museum houses mainly historical objects. Wide variety of objects revealing the atrocity of slavery days and those used in black magic and traditional Seychellois utensils.
Victoria Market
Market Street - Victoria. Lively typical Creole market, plenty of fresh fish, meat stalls, vegetables, fruits, spices, curious objects and souvenirs.
The Trianon
Serret Road - Victoria. Typical Creole House, one of the first Hotels of the island, where Henry Staney once lived, on his search for Livingstone. Today is a Creole restaurant.
Botanic Garden
Mount Fleuri - Victoria. Collection of a great variety of exotic plants, rare birds and tortoises.

The Mission
Morne Seychellois National Park. Lodge Viewing Point-Sans Souci. Classified as National Park in 1979, is the largest in Seychelles. Endemic plants and animals, selection of paths to discover the rain forest and its beauties.

Les Cannelles. Spice Garden, birds, snakes, insects. Typical Creole restaurant.
St. Anne Marine National Park
Founded in 1973 is the first Marine Park in the Indian Ocean.
